Hello there!

My name is Sarah and welcome to my blogger abode! If you are reading this page that must mean you would like to get to know me a little bit. Well, the best way I could come up with to help you get to know me is to have you imagine with me.

Imagine it is a beautiful day and you and your friends are meeting my friends and I for a picnic at a local park. More than likely, I would pack a yummy lunch into a basket that would include potato-salad, fresh fruit, veggies, sandwiches, freshly baked muffins, and ice-cold lemonade.

We would all visit, hopefully laugh, smile, and enjoy the fresh air. We would replenish our body’s oxygen supply with each relaxed breath.

Over the course of the day this is some of what I would hope you would learn about me…

I’m a young woman enjoying life and loving others. I’ve been saved by grace. I love to read, write, crochet, craft, learn, take pictures, spend time with family and friends, and let music sink into me. And, fun fact, I'm not a fan of socks and prefer to spend as much time barefooted as possible. Silly, I know.

I have Fibromyalgia.* This illness has turned my life upside down, but I am learning that you can still live a happy life even in the midst of sickness.

I’m very much a “glass half full" and "look on the bright side” sort of person. I’m also a partaker in the indulgence of Ice-cream, broccoli, fruit, water, cheese, milk, cornbread, muffins, herbal tea, and oatmeal raisin cookies.

You might learn that my Momma once said/lovingly teased that I'm a mixture of an old soul and a child at heart.

You'd learn that I enjoy Anne of Green Gables, poetry, books, snail mail, daisies, game nights, folk music, and so very much more. You would also find out that my family means so, so, so, so much to me and that I think laughter is good medicine.

We would finish the day with the setting of the sun not knowing how time had passed so quickly.

Then everyone would go off for a night of rest and dream of the delightful day as well as the hopeful adventures of tomorrow.

Did you imagine it?

I know I’m a dreamer, but sometimes it is simply nice to dream, look at the sunshine and the joyful possibilities of the adventures of life.

That is really part of what this blog is! It is an adventure!
I hope that this blog will continue to be a splendid adventure, a place for me to share my creativity, thoughts, health journey, life updates, lessons I’m learning, and simply a bit about living life joyfully.

I hope that as you read my blog you are blessed, smile a little, and maybe you’ll even be inspired by something.

This is Odds and Ends with Crafts and Pens. This is an adventure.

Care to come along?

*I would like to note that my chronic health symptoms are much improved currently. I still live with chronic health issues, but I've been very blessed that many of my symptoms are currently manageable and that I can live a productive life. This is unfortunately not true for everyone who has Fibromyalgia. I'm adding this note because while I still live with health issues, since I'm currently living with so much improvement I do not want to misrepresent the severity that chronic health issues can and do inflict on others as they did for me when I was much worse.
